You need a full night’s sleep (8 hours is the recommended amount for adults). this is essential for mental and physical heath. Sleep deprivation can heighten the risk of various health conditions such as diabetes and cancer. This natural banana tea remedy is a great alternative to sleeping pills. It con do wonders for you, but how does it work? 

Bananas are abundant in potassium and magnesium, but a lesser known fact is the peel is too, more so than the banana itself. Although the peel is often discarded.

With this simple recipe, you can achieve all the amazing health benefits of potassium and magnesium. these elements are essentially for a healthy nervous system and also act as muscle relaxants. This is ideal for those who suffer with cramps, as well as the muscular pain.

Magnesium deficiency in linked to stress too. Magnesium allows your body to cope with stress, this aids relaxation and the ability to fall asleep.

Cinnamon and/or stevia are addition(s) to the mix as great. this is due to it being one of the best natural ways to balance blood sugar levels. With a balanced blood sugar levels your hormones work better, this results in improved sleep. Being wide awake and night yet exhausted in the day could be a sign of an unbalanced blood sugar level.

1 organic banana, with peel
12oz (355ml) of water
Cinnamon and/or stevia to taste (optional)

Step 1: Remove the ends of the banana as pictured below.

Step 2: Bring you water to boiling point, then add the banana.

Allow to boil for 10 minutest, then remove from heat. This is where you can add your cinnamon and/or stevia to the tea.

Step 3: Allow to cool slightly and enjoy! More cinnamon and/or stevia can be added to taste. 

Wait, what about the banana! You can eat that too with a little sprinkling of well I'm sure you've gather by now! Although this is better eaten the next day as eating before sleep can cause disruption.
